This silent Ignatian retreat is built around the elements of Lectio Divina and the Examen prayer of St. Ignatius of Loyola. The Examen is a technique of prayerful reflection on the events your day in order to dis-cern God’s direction for you. On this retreat, you will review your life from a prayerful, God-Centered perspective.
Fr. David Rosenberg, director of St. Francis Retreat Center, will be the Rector for this retreat. It begins with registration at 1:00 pm on Sunday, July 12th. The opening session will consist of orientation and an introduction to the rest of the week. You will be introduced to your spiritual director on Sunday at Orientation, whom you will meet with each day for the rest of the week. Spiritual Direction is included in the cost of the retreat.
Daily liturgical prayer is a key element of the retreat, including Morning Prayer, Mass, and Evening Prayer during Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament.
Retreatants are invited to serve in various liturgical roles (laity as leaders for Liturgy of the Hours and as readers; deacons to assist at Mass and give the final blessing at the Liturgy of Hours; priests as principal celebrants for Mass and for Benediction).
The cost of this retreat is $620 per person, this includes all meals, mate-rials, lodging, and spiritual direction. A non-refundable deposit of $75 is requested with your registration. Register by July 1st by calling St. Francis Retreat Center at 517-669-8321 or register online at www.stfrancis.ws.
