Encountering Christ

through movement, music,
Scripture, prayer, and conversation

"You will show me the path to life, fullness of joys in your presence, the delights at your right hand forever."  (Psalm 16:11)

Cultivating Joy
Saturday, November 12, 2022; 9:30 am – 3:00 pm

Check-in, final registration, and morning coffee/tea and snacks begin at 9:00 am.  The retreat will start at 9:30 am.  Feel free to bring a journal if you use one.

Do you long for more joy in your life?  Joy, or some version of that word, appears in Scripture more than 450 times.  Clearly God wants us to have joy in our lives.

But what exactly is joy?  Is it a mindset, a discipline or a grace from God? Is joy something that you can create or something you receive?  And how do we experience joy in our lives when there is so much sorrow, pain and hardship?

Join me to discover a more joyful spirit, explore the joy that God has for you, and learn everyday practices for nurturing more joy in your life.

Cost for the day, which includes lunch and program materials, is $60.  Register by November 4.

  • "The songs, prayers, and reflections awakened the spirit in me."

  • "The reflection before the songs gave me food for thought.  Praying with the movement and music was transforming and the sharing was inspirational."

  • "I enjoyed the 'no pressure' atmosphere.  A calm, relaxing day."

  • "Thank you so much for sharing your very personal witness and encouraging us to step out of our comfort zones and enrich our prayer lives."
